Founder of Gehm Environmental in 1986. Responsibilities include overall supervision and management of all aspects of the Company, including supervision of all employees involved with federal and state contracts and maintaining a direct involvement in all Environmental Management activities.

Steve Johnston Stephen G. Johnston, R.G., Senior Environmental Geologist
A member of the Gehm team since 1991. Extensive experience in contaminated site characterization, remediation, closure reporting. Five years as a Program Manager for the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Leaking Underground Storage Tank unit. Responsible for direction of Gehm’s geophysical site characterization project work conducted for Federal, state and Commercial projects. Qualified as a Registered Professional Geologist.


Tom Maxwell M. Thomas Maxwell, Engineering Consultant
A member of the Gehm team since 1992 and former Gehm Vice President. Thirty-seven year’s experience with expertise in management of multimillion dollar engineering projects, extensive knowledge of federal and state contracting. Since November 1, 1999, Tom has been an operations consultant for Gehm’s ongoing Department of Defense contracts.


Larry R. Long, BSME, MBA, P.E., Consulting Engineer
A Gehm Engineering Consultant since 1998. Most recent Gehm experience was as consulting engineer for the design of all upgrades and/or replacements of underground fuel tanks, statewide, for the Missouri Department of Corrections. Larry has more than 25 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering, primarily HVAC design, energy conservation and indoor air quality issues. Most recently, his duties have involved completion of various environmental, safety and regulatory projects.
